From Hobby to Business: How Jen Winnett Art Began

If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d be running a business selling my artwork across the UK, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.

Jen Winnett Art didn’t start as a business plan. It started as a way to feel a little more like myself again.

Back in 2017, I picked up a paintbrush for the first time in years. Life felt busy, overwhelming, and like a lot of people, I needed something that helped me slow down. Watercolour became that thing.

At first, it was just for me.
Then I started sharing a few pieces online.
Then people started asking if they could buy them.

That’s when everything changed.

What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into something much bigger - a brand built around joy, colour, and connection.

Today, Jen Winnett Art is stocked by organisations like the National Trust and RSPB, and includes over 200 designs featuring animals, nature, and (of course) a few cheeky puns along the way.

But at the heart of it, nothing has really changed.

Every design still starts with a paintbrush, a love for wildlife, and the hope that it might make someone smile.

And honestly? That’s still the best part.
